Individual Event for Saatchi & Saatchi Friday
The couple arrive at Edinburgh Airport where they are met by a uniformed chauffeur & escorted to their waiting limousine. They can help themselves to a welcoming tray with whisky/sherry and shortbread en route to Edinburgh city centre for panoramic city tour before proceeding to the the top of Castle Hill to check into their exclusive accommodation.
The Witchery is Edinburgh’s oldest and purportedly most haunted restaurant, dating back to the sixteenth century close to the gates of Edinburgh castle itself.
On the floors above the restaurant, looking down on to the Royal Mile are 2 luxurious suites, decorated to a level of opulence and theatricality rarely seen. The Inner Sanctum and the Old Rectory are also equipped with all modern amenities discreetly included in rooms filled with antiques, drapes beds and period textiles and clients will also find complimentary chocolates and champagne
Chauffeur and car will pick clients up this evening & whisk them off to the heart of the city’s elegant New Town for dinner in a top restaurant
Stac Polly, from which it takes its name is a magnificent mountain on Scotland’s west coast and here décor reflects the heather clad hills and creates an air of intimacy. The strength of the menu is its originality. Which takes full advantage of Scotland’s glorious larder to provide exciting interpretations of modern and traditional Scottish cuisine.
(3 x course dinner, coffee & bottle of house wine included)
Saturday
After enjoying a delicious full Scottish breakfast in their room the couple will be picked up once more by car and driver and driven to the historic port of Leith to visit the former Royal Yacht Britannia in her new home
This former royal yacht was built in a Clydebank shipyard and launched in 1953, following a long tradition dating back over 300 years.
For the next 40 years Britannia was used by the queen and members of her family for holidays and official engagements. Numerous heads of state and foreign dignitaries have been entertained on board over the years.
Restored to her former glory, Britannia is Edinburgh’s most popular new attraction with a purpose built visitor centre. The tour begins with an audio visual presentation which recounts the history of the vessel and documents some of her many foreign voyages.
As well as being able to view the family’s living and sleeping quarters
there is also a fascinating collection of photographs, some of which have never previously been on public view. The state dining room, the Admiral’s Cabin and quarters and the engine room are all part of the Britannia experience.
The next part of the Edinburgh experience is a private helicopter flight affording a bird’s eye view of the city and surrounding area taking in Linlithgow Palace, the Forth Bridges and Dalmeny House to mention but a few places of interest.
(The helicopter ride will last 30 minutes)
No visit to Scotland would be complete without a whisky tasting so the next port of call is a visit to the Scotch Malt Whisky Society
The Society is based in the historic port of Leith in The Vaults in one of the city’s oldest and most distinguished commercial buildings near the harbour.
The party will be ushered into the beautiful members’ room for a tutored tasting. An expert from the Society will give a talk on the processes involved in the production of malt whisky and explain how they vary in taste depending on where they are produced.
There will of course also be an opportunity to sample some of the Society’s special bottles which contain a higher alcohol level than usual!
(The visit includes tasdting 3 malts)
Informal lunch in Leith in one of the port’s popular fish restaurants
(This includes 3 x courses, coffee & bottle of house wine)
After lunch transfer to Marriott Dalmahoy Golf and Country Club Hotel which stands in its own magnificent parkland, just 7 miles from the city centre.
Dalmahoy boasts 2 golf courses, one of which the championship East Course has been a venue for the Solheim Cup. It also has a state of the art leisure club and beauty spa.
Here the couple will have the opportunity to participate in either:

Or
An hour and a half of pampering in the spa
Late afternoon return to the city centre
